Applying for an Independent Music Together Center Trademark License
Approval by the workshop trainer is based upon evaluations during the workshops as well as general ability, training, and experience in the areas of music, movement, and/or early childhood education.
Obtaining a License for a Proposed Music Together Program
For those with an entrepreneurial spirit, Music Together offers the option to open an independent licensed Music Together center. The first step is to attend the three-day Music Together Teacher Training. (Note that participation in the training does not guarantee that a license will be granted.) The following additional requirements apply:
• The principal teacher scheduled to teach each Music Together class must be a registered Music Together teacher. This means the teacher has passed the training and either plans to start his/her own licensed center or is scheduled to teach at a licensed center.)
• The specific class location must be approved by Music Together, LLC.
• A licensing application and application fee must be submitted and approved. Applications are distributed at teacher trainings.
Approval of licensing applications is normally quite prompt in underdeveloped areas and usually takes no longer than four to six weeks in locations near other Music Together centers. If you are already offering an early childhood music and movement program, please contact licensing@musictogether.com. Restrictions may apply.
