Hear from directors who have started their own Music Together classes.
Since 1987, our early childhood music classes have been an essential part of family life for millions of parents and children in every corner of the globe. Today, Music Together is taught in thousands of communities—and there’s room for more. That's where you come in!
Whether you’re looking for career flexibility, more meaningful work, or a new creative pursuit, if you love children and music, starting your own Music Together classes might be a perfect fit. As a Music Together director, you have an impact on the lives of children and parents in your neighborhood—and foster your own entrepreneurial spirit.
When you hear the phrase, "kids' music classes," you might envision a room with a teacher in front of a semi-circle of children, with a line of adults standing against the wall. In reality, Music Together classes are active music-making experiences where everyone gets involved.
And that’s by design. All our curricula are rooted in research in early childhood learning that tells us that young children learn best through play with their favorite adults. Everything we do in class (including the bunny hops and owl eyes!) is designed to support children’s music development.
Each week for ten weeks, you’ll lead a group of babies, toddlers, and preschoolers AND their grownups in forty-five minutes of music and movement activities and instrument-play. You’ll learn the how-tos (and the whys) at our Teacher Training Workshop, and you’ll have the flexibility to get creative within our proven lesson-planning and song-leading structure.

Listen to Our Music
Once you hear our award-winning music, you’ll understand why families love it! Each of our song collections is a mix of original and traditional songs from a variety of genres and styles (folk, blues, rock, jazz, classical, and more), in a wide variety of tonalities and meters. The nine Music Together® (for babies through five-year-olds) and eight Rhythm Kids® (for four- to eight-year-olds) song collections have been uniquely designed for each particular program. Music Together collections are taught in a three-year rotation, and Rhythm Kids are taught in a two-year rotation.

Join a Global Company with a Commitment to Research and Development
We’re rooted in research, and we bring that orientation to everything we do. From adapting the curricula to reach new audiences; enhancing our parent and teacher education with the latest research; and presenting at national and international conferences for educators, music therapists, and other professionals, our research and development team makes sure Music Together stays on the cutting edge of early childhood music education.
Our commitment to development also includes actively taking steps toward becoming an anti-racist organization. In addition to Diversity & Inclusion trainings for our staff, teachers, and licensees, in 2018, we began an industry-leading process of evaluating every song in the Music Together collection to ensure that all our music is respectfully rendered and represents a diverse range of music traditions, styles, cultures, and genres.
